Plaid is hot hot hot this winter! When you think of plaid it's easy to think of your typical boring catholic school girl uniform (I had to wear a grey & blue kilt from grade 9 to grade 13 and couldn't stand the sight of plaid for years afterwards). But plaid has evolved beyond the school girl and Scottish Highland games kilts and has truly become the trend du jour. Plaid is everywhere in fashion from your basic wool scarf to your favourite blazer, pencil skirt, coat and high heels. I'm currently loving my red and navy plaid scarf from the Gap and my Burberry inspired camel plaid scarf from Lord & Taylor. I would particularly love to add this ASOS grey check plaid coat to my wardrobe in the near future (currently on sale). Take the plunge and add a little (or a lot of) plaid to your OOTD (outfit of the day)!
